      You'd never expect for your high school son to learn about sexual education at his English teachers' house but, outside of Fortworth,Texas that is exactly what Brittany Kaleb was teaching.
      Brittany Kaleb was a new English teacher at the Kendale High School; a 28 year old married mother of 3, who seemed to be living the ideal life at this time in her life.  She quickly became quite popular with her students but soon she lost site of her boundaries and responsibility as a teacher.  Kenadale High School was in a very conservative town in which you would never expect for such a scandal to take place.  It all started with a text message she sent to one of her star athlete students in her class asking him "What time does the baseball game start?".  After that message was sent overtime she exchanged multiple text messages resulting in 300 pages of inappropriate sexual communication between herself and her student.  In the majority of her messages she goes on to explain what she liked and didn't like in the bedroom, and what she was willing to do with this student.  Specific acts were expressed in many of the 300 pages of text messages they shared with each other, she even went further and attempted to convince him to leave class on many occasions so they could have sex in school.
     After months of their teacher student rendezvous she invited this young man to her house to watch a movie which later resulted in them having sex. After going back four more times to have sex with his teacher he brings some of his friends, three to be exact to engage in what is explained as an orgy.  She makes them a spaghetti dinner and then begins to bring out sex toys, and give them a lingerie show.  As the night goes on she engages in sexual acts on one student as well as another.  Some would describe this to be an orgy.  The entire ordeal was captured on tape by one of the students which lead to the termination and arrest of Brittany because as any high school student they cant keep secrets so soon the video was the talk of the hallways.
     After being arrested she stated where she felt as though she was victimized because she never gave consent for the boys to record her, she also expressed that all the students she had sex with were 18 years of age and above but in the state of Texas the law clearly states that no teacher is to have sex with any student regardless of the age.  Shameful to say the least and frowned upon by all residents and parents of students who attend Kenadale High School this case was an embarrassment for all parties involved, so much so the boys never wanted this to even go public.  The prosecutor tried to make it seem as though she victimized these young men because she was the adult and should have been more responsible and morally mature whereas the defense attorney felt as though Brittany was victimized.  The jury felt otherwise, charging Brittany Kaleb with 16 counts of inappropriate behavior with a student  and a 5 years sentence in prison.  Brittany felt as though she should have only lost her job and be stripped of her teaching privileges but in the state of Texas they take inappropriate behavior with any students very serious.
     Stepping back putting my journalist hat down I look at this entire story from a totally different stand point.  At 28 years old you have not only matured immensely, but you are embarking on the second stage of your life.  Brittany was beyond old enough to know exactly what she was doing and that it was wrong.  It was stated in the interview that she was separated from her husband and in many separation battles with your significant other I'm sure you go through stages of depression but that is no justification for her behavior.  I find it mind blowing and baffling that she as well as her attorney actually considered herself a victim! If anything she was a master manipulator and she got exactly what she deserved!  How dare she consider her acts to be one of a victim, there were no victims in this situation only individuals with bad judgement and quirky moral values.  For her to not only initiate the encounters with the student but to have no remorse for it because she continued to do it, I think a psychological test needs to be administered as well because no one in there right mind would ever consider this acceptable behavior.  School is supposed to be a safe learning environment for young people to become better educated individuals in the future, not a place in which students are preyed upon by desperate teachers.  Is it safe to say that young and middle aged teachers shouldn't be allowed to work in high school with hormone raging athletes? Its a shame that, that even needs to be the question, but with sex situations such as these I can understand where this could be something to consider.
     She should be beyond embarrassed,not only because of the acts she was involved in but because she is a mother,her children will soon want to know why their mother was incarcerated for 5 years and missing in there lives for so long.  I just find it stupid and disgusting because she basically had an orgy with 4 young men.  Regardless of how old they were, I just feel any orgy is disgusting but with students? Then you allowed yourself to be videotaped? Really? I hang my head in disgust just thinking about this story because she is not only an embarrassment to her family and herself and the school but she leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths when we think about high school teachers.
